Getting connected
Each tool has a setup guide with the credentials you'll need.
Read the documentationHow do I connect a tool?
Go to Settings > Integrations in AthenaHQ, choose your tool, and follow its setup guide. You'll either sign in or add the credentials it needs. Most integrations connect to a specific website, so you can manage each brand separately.
What if my tool isn't listed?
You can connect a compatible AI client through MCP or build an integration with the AthenaHQ REST API. Some custom connections require development work.
What can I do through MCP?
Ask about your share of voice, citations, competitors, and tracked prompts. You can also create content, revise briefs, manage prompts, and update brand facts. Your account permissions determine which tools you can use.
Can AthenaHQ publish to my CMS?
Yes. Connect Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Framer, Payload CMS, Sanity, or Contentful in Settings > Integrations. Each provider supports different options for drafts, updates, and publishing.
Which permissions do I need?
Your AthenaHQ plan and role determine what you can access. MCP uses the permissions of your connected account or API key. ChatGPT and Claude may also have their own plan or workspace requirements.
